After the Death of Anna Gonzales, Terri Fields
The morning after a student's suicide is told with poems, each from a different point of view.

Interesting concept, but the constantly shifting viewpoint doesn't exactly lend itself to a clear narrative.

In other words, the point is lost because the story is spread so thin. Some people could have been left out and more time spent on others and it might have been a more compelling read.

I was thinking this book sounded like an interesting premise, but then again... who the hell really writes poetry, so wouldn't it sound forced? I LOVED "Love That Dog" tho.

It's not even the first one!

Yeah, Love that Dog was great. And I read one or two other novels like this that were good. But those were all from ONE point of view..
